As Director of Administration for Revelations Counseling & Consulting, Mandy is responsible for the company’s administrative activities, maintaining insurance coverage and company policies, credentialing and empanelment of our licensed counselors, and managing compliance of clinical records. Mandy is also an administrative staff member at our counseling practice site where she completes intake interviews for new clients, maintains provider credentialing, facilitates medical coding, filing claims and billing, audits the practice site electronic health record, coordinates empanelment of therapists with insurance companies, and conducts appointment scheduling and referral authorizations.

Mandy has a prior background in healthcare patient services, with experience as a physical therapist assistant at an orthopedic and sports physical therapy practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Through working with patients of diverse backgrounds requiring various rehabilitative services, she discovered her passion for motivating and counseling her patients during their rehabilitation and recognizing the influence of psychological resiliency during their recovery process.

Mandy is an alumnus at the University of Mary Washington, graduating with honors with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She was selected in 2018 to present her research at the UMW Research and Creativity Day before the university’s Institutional Review Board on the topic of, “Is Current Health Care Policy Effectively Assisting Women Veterans?” Her near-term academic and professional plans include pursuing a Master of Social Work degree to become a licensed clinical social worker and a therapist with the Revelations team.

Mandy immensely enjoys spending time with her husband and three children in Fredericksburg, Virginia—Eden, Sage and Iris. When she is not looking after her daughters, she enjoys practicing yoga, which she hopes to one day incorporate into her therapy practices as a supplement to other meditation and mindfulness-based approaches.
